16°Time to visit the Berliner Dom before I'll be heading to defunct Tempelhof Airport for a guided tour..
Sadly we couldn't climb the dome because of the hard winds but I was pretty nice to see the Dom from the inside.
Time to head to Platz der Luftbrücke for the tour around the abandoned Tempelhof Airport!
Tempelhof Airport is a huge structure with a fascinating history from before Nazi Germany to the Berliner Luftbrücke of 1949. It's called "The Mother of all Airports" for a reason!
It features air raid shelters, American leisure facilities, countless of stairways and lots of interesting architectural details. Very cool to visit this defunct airport and to think it was operating until 2008 is crazy..
Time for a beer and some food!
Tomorrow is our last day in Berlin and we will be taking it easy and check out some of the sights we missed like the Gedächtnis-Kirche before heading back home..
