After a nice cup of coffee we decided to check out a nearby Pagoda to, hopefully, see Mt. Fuji. Sadly it was too cloudy but the Arakurayama Sengen Park was certainly a beautiful hike. After this nice 7km walk we took the train to Yokohama to spend a relaxing afternoon checking out this city south of Tokyo. Yokohama was one of the first Japanese ports opened to foreign trade, in 1859. It has a gorgeous modern seaside district called Minato Mirai and a large Chinatown.
Day 34
Arakurayama Sengen Park and Yokohama
Walking distance of 11.5 kilometres including 12 floors
Time to head to Yokohama by train and enjoy the "harbor of the future", the Red Brick Warehouse and Chinatown!
And of course we had to see Minato Mirai at night..
Tomorrow we travel to Kyoto to, once again, discover this historic city!
