Day 11

After a long day yesterday we took it easy this morning by taking breakfast at a typical Route 66 diner.

After our delicious breakfast we explored the rest of Kingman including the small Route 66 museum and started our journey on the famous road.

Route 66 has several nice tourist spots with some nice Americana but is pretty empty and deserted. The view of the Arizona landscape is beautiful though.

After a nice relaxing drive and swim at our new motel we got some dinner at a sweet Route 66 BBQ shack.

Tomorrow we head up to the Grand Canyon and Horseshoe Bend with views of the Colorado River!
