Day 10

Today was the day of all the Jeju waterfalls and beautiful cliffs with a big surprise temple at the end. In the early morning we walked to the edge of town to visit the first two of the waterfalls, the Sojeongbang Waterfall and the Jeongbang Falls. The latter is the only waterfall in Asia to fall directly into the ocean.

After a delicious sandwich it was time to explore the Cheonjiyeon Falls and enjoy the gorgeous sunny vistas the island has to offer.

After a lengthy trip by bus we arrived in the vicinity of the final waterfall of the trip, the Cheonjeyeon Falls. Sadly these falls only appear large after heavy rainfall. We also visited the volcanic rock formation called Jusangjeollidae Cliff which reminded me of the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland.

Jeju is famous for their tangerines which grow everywhere across the island..

And as a final surprise we visited a temple spotted from the bus, the expansive Yakcheonsa Temple with the largest wooden Buddha statue in Korea and a gorgeous interior spread over four floors.
