The antique tram weaves it’s way along the river ending at the mouth of the river Douro. This pretty beach side at the Atlantic Ocean has some powerful waves!
After a nice beach walk we grabbed some lunch on the beach and headed back to town to catch the Alfa Pendular to Lisbon. A comfortable 3 hours.
After arriving in Lisbon we went to the hotel by metro and made a beeline for the nearest Portugese style restaurant. The veal and ham was amazing!
Tomorrow we head out into the old Lisbon city and explore this Metropole!
