We explored the freezing downtown New York City and checked out TImes Square before the big event. We celebrated New Year's Eve in Central Park because we didn't want to spend an entire day waiting on Times Square. They had a small stage in the park and the famous NYC fireworks are lit from Central Park itself.
Around 1 am we took the last PATH subway train back to our Airbnb in New Jersey.
