Day 2

We started off the day with a great Mexican breakfast dish called Huevos Motuleños. After breakfast we walked around the centre of Cancun for a bit before heading to the Telcel shop to buy a simcard.

This part of Cancun has seen better days, but both the weather and atmosphere were great.

Time to pick up the rental car at the airport, do some grocery shopping and head to our hotel in Tulum.

After relaxing a bit by the pool we checked on our fancy new automotive toy (Volkswagen Vento) and headed out into Tulum to find some authentic Mexican dinner..

Tulum is a nice little city with a lot of street art and seasonal clubs and bars. Still a bit too touristy but still nice to see.

Enjoying our Taco dinner there was even a little street rally for the local election..

Tomorrow we will probably explore the nearby Tulum Mayan Ruins and maybe go snorkling with sea turtles!
