Day 15

We started our day with a nice outdoor breakfast of eggs and pancakes.

The historic center of Campeche is well preserved and features streets bordered by pastel colored houses.

Luckily our hotel was in the middle of the center, so that we could cool down in our airconditioned room regularly preventing heat stroke.

Time to cool down with an ice cream at the main square in front of the cathedral.

When the sun was on its highest point and the houses did not any longer provide any shade, we plunged into the hotel pool. We headed out for dinner when the weather became bearable.

Tomorrow, we will drive to Mérida and visit the Uxmal ruins on our way.
