We visited the Plitvice Lakes National Park today, Croatia's oldest National Park consisting of 16+ clear lakes connected by numerous waterfalls. We decided to take a route that combined busrides for the uphill routes, walking along the waterfalls and a boat ride across the largest lake. We first viewed the beautiful upper lakes.
We took the boat across the lake, had lunch in the sun and checked out the, very busy, lower lakes, including the highest waterfall in Croatia.
We headed back to our hotel to rest our feet and hit the road again for some dinner.
We will drive back to the coast tomorrow and visit the city of Zadar along the way.
