After arriving in our hotel and getting some lunch we decided to check out the very weird and dilapidated Shijingshan Amusement Park. This park used to be a large theme park with various rollercoasters and other big rides. The park has a strange feeling about it. It’s largely deserted, in disrepair and yet open to the public.
Very weird park with few rides actually operating but we did manage a ride on the (only working) rollercoaster: Shenzhou Coaster. This coaster is a bad recreation of a Dutch Vekoma Suspended Looping Coaster. Good for laughs, bad for your head, back and shoulders..
After a culture-shock swim in our indoor pool (you had to wear swim caps and a lot of naked men blow drying their asses off) we decided to check out the Korean BBQ place we saw earlier. It was amazing!
Tomorrow we head out into the city center and check out some of the stuff we did four years ago. Revisit the Forbidden City and more..
