We started our day early to get the tickets for the Fluweelengrot which are scarce due to COVID-19 regulations. Thanks to this early start, we could visit the still quiet Valkenburg Castle ruines.
Time to enter the cave, or actually the marl mine, in the hill below the ruines.
After we stilled our hunger, we headed to the Wilhelminatoren with the chairlift and enjoyed ourselves on the toboggan run.
When we were back in town, we took a stroll along the river the Geul.
After a nice tapas dinner we called it a night and watch the F1 race at Spa in our hotel.
Tomorrow, we will visit the Netherlands American Cemetery at Margraten, the tripoint between the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany on the Vaalserberg and maybe the Coo waterfalls on our way to the Ardennes.
